Route Delivery Driver – Hall's Culligan Water Our Opportunity

What You’ll Do

Prepare the delivery vehicle each day before leaving the warehouse to ensure it is loaded correctly; familiarize yourself with the route layout and customers’ requests to complete the scheduled route.

Complete all deliveries on route as scheduled.

Ensure route optimization by identifying challenges or roadblocks ahead of time to complete the route in the most efficient manner.

Interact with customers while representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.

Address customer questions or concerns during deliveries.

Develop a strong understanding of the products being delivered and proper handling of bottled water, PE tanks, salt, and other applicable products.

Provide information about products to customers when necessary.

Complete customer agreements and route sheets accurately and legibly.

Perform payment collection from customers; promptly turn in customer payments and daily activity sheets to the office staff at the end of each workday.

Adhere to the proper utilization of handheld palm units, entering accurate information while abiding by all rules concerning its use.

Operate delivery vehicles safely; adhere to traffic rules and DOT regulations.

Perform Daily Vehicle Inspections (DVIR’s) and report any issues to management.

Qualifications

Valid driver’s license.

Successfully pass a DOT Physical & DOT Drug Screen.

Successfully pass a criminal background check per company requirements.

At least 21 years of age or older and able to pass and maintain a driving record check to be insurable by the company.

Able to safely operate/drive company vehicles up to 26,001 lbs. daily for approximately 8‑10 hours.

Capable of lifting up to 90 lbs on a repetitive basis.

Physically capable of performing the duties required of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Pay rate of $20‑$22 per hour, depending on experience.

Work Environment

Culligan Drivers spend much of their time out in the field delivering to both commercial and residential customers – this means extensive time driving and getting in and out of the route truck. Drivers deliver in rain or shine and must be comfortable being exposed to various weather conditions. The role is labor intensive and requires strong physical stamina.
