Exterior Finisher

As a Factory Service Center Aircraft Exterior Finisher, you will work from an assigned Factory Service Center performing scheduled and unscheduled exterior finishing duties. All work will be performed and documented in compliance with technical data, manuals, SOPs and regulations as required. Working conditions include occasional travel and semi‑frequent face‑to‑face contact with Owners and Operators.
Work hours:
Monday through Thursday, 6:30 am to 5 pm.
Duties and Responsibilities
Adhere to Cirrus Aircraft Standard Operating Procedures
Comply with environmental health/safety policies and procedures
Maintain the highest levels of professionalism in conduct and appearance while representing Cirrus Aircraft
Observe and maintain all requirements and criteria set forth by the Cirrus Part 145 Repair Station Manual
Read and understand maintenance manuals and other technical documents, and identify repair procedures
Review and research aircraft records
Evaluate and interpret aircraft data
Composite preparation
Surface filler preparation and shaping
Sanding and buffing
Adding vinyl striping
Laying and smoothing sealants
Primer application
Detailing interior and exterior of aircraft
Maintain regular, reliable, and predictable attendance
Assist, support, and participate in Factory Service Center indirect activities such as moving aircraft, shop projects, and continuous improvement projects as assigned

Education Requirements
Minimum high school education or equivalent
Complete 100% Cirrus CBT training after joining
Complete 100% Cirrus University training after joining
Complete 90% of incoming, detail, and buffing related core sign‑offs after joining
Experience Requirements
Demonstrated preparation/painting aptitude
1 year of sanding and prepping parts for paint experience and/or 1 year of detailing experience
Certification Requirements
N/A
License Requirements
Valid state driver’s license
Ability to obtain an airport security badge
