Position Summary Reporting to the Sales and Service Manager, the Club Services Associate will execute all club services—including re-gripping, re-shafting, loft and lie adjustments—as well as frontline operations such as returns, exchanges, and promotions. They will maintain a premier merchandise presentation to enhance sales and the customer experience, ensuring all areas are operational and well‑kept. The role includes assessing and diagnosing club issues, clearly communicating repair options, documenting service orders accurately, and supporting inventory management while fostering a culture of safety and ethical conduct.
Key Responsibilities
Engage with every customer to deliver world‑class service and build lasting relationships.
Execute all club services such as re‑gripping, re‑shafting, and loft & lie adjustments.
Perform front‑end operations including returns, exchanges, gift card handling, lesson redemptions, loyalty program awards, discounts, promotions, and coupons.
Assist in maintaining front‑end and services merchandise presence at a pristine stock and visual level.
Ensure all club services and front‑end areas, equipment, and supplies are always maintained and operational.
Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance across all departments.
Maintain the club services desk and surrounding area in a clean, professional presentation at all times.
Provide exceptional customer service by communicating repair options, costs, and timelines clearly.
Assess and diagnose issues with golf clubs, including shafts, grips, and heads to determine necessary repairs.
Document repair orders, track work progress, and maintain accurate records of services performed through the Golf & Tennis Services App.
Stay up to date on upcoming merchandising promotions and marketing events to maintain a strong merchandising presence.
Champion the products and services offerings, informing, educating, and promoting them to customers.
Provide consistent feedback to the Sales and Service Manager on operational and merchandising opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills Required
Strong listening and interpersonal communication skills, verbal and written.
Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to organize multiple priorities to meet deadlines and objectives.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred: 2+ years of retail, materials handling, club repair, or similar experience.
Physical demands: must be able to stand for extended periods, climb ladders, move throughout the store, and lift a 30‑lb. box overhead.
Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Quick learning of business acumen with appropriate training.
Strong self‑accountability and proactive drive for results.
