Job Duties
Operate all equipment.
Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk‑in cooler.
Prepare product.
Receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and facilities approximately daily.
Training Orientation and training provided on the job.
Communication
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
Essential Functions / Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (calculator may be used).
Must be able to make correct monetary change.
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for rapid and accurate movements.
Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Work Conditions
Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing other outside tasks.
In‑store temperatures range from 36° in cooler to 90° and above in some work areas.
Exposure to fumes from food odors, cornmeal dust, hot surfaces/tools up to 500°.
Cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler.
Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
Physical Demands
Standing: Most tasks performed from standing position, walking short distances.
Sitting: Paperwork completed at a desk or table.
Lifting: Bulk product deliveries may require lifting cases up to 50 pounds.
Carrying: Frequently carry items weighing 3–30 pounds, trays of pizza dough (~12 lb).
Pushing: Move trays on dollies, requiring force up to 7.5 lb.
Climbing: Infrequent navigation of stairs or ladders.
Stooping/Bending: Forward bending necessary at pizza assembly station, repeated continuously.
Crouching/Squatting: Occasional for stocking shelves, cleaning low areas.
Reaching: Reach above 72 in to turn on/off oven controls, change prices on signs, lift/lower objects to/from shelves.
Hand tasks: Frequent use of hands for shaping pizza dough, using pizza cutter, peel, rolling cutter.
Additional Information Deliver product by car and then to door of customer; deliver flyers and door hangers.
Requirements
Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
Navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area.
Ability to navigate adverse terrain including multi‑story buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites while carrying product.
Delivery Specific Physical Demands
Carrying: During delivery, carry pizzas, sides and beverages while walking and climbing.
Driving: Deliver pizzas within designated area; may make several deliveries per shift.
Walking: Travel between store and delivery vehicle and from vehicle to customer.
Climbing: May navigate five or more flights of stairs during delivery.
Sensing: Far vision and night vision required for driving.
