Job Description As an Applebee's Host/Server Assistant, you will greet guests warmly at the door, assist servers with exceptional guest service, and maintain overall guest flow throughout the restaurant.
Responsibilities
Welcome guests with a warm smile and a friendly greeting.
Assist servers by coordinating guest service and ensuring smooth dining room operations.
Manage seating assignments and wait times to optimize guest flow.
Respond to guest inquiries and provide assistance as needed.
Support front‑of‑house staff and maintain a welcoming atmosphere.
Qualifications
Minimum age 17.
Effective communication skills with guests and team members.
Commitment to delivering a positive guest experience.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Compensation Applebee’s hosts start at $12 per hour and may earn up to $18 per hour. Daily Pay is available for most locations (not available in California).
Physical Standards Must remain stationary and move at a steady pace for up to four (4) hours. Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 25 pounds safely. Must speak clearly and listen attentively to staff and guests. Required to transport plates, glasses, and baskets throughout the shift and wear protective hand coverings, face coverings, and disinfectant gloves as needed.
Health and Safety Employees must wash hands with disinfecting soap regularly, wear protective face coverings and/or masks throughout the shift, and use disinfectant cleaning supplies as required.
