The role involves managing incoming and outgoing calls, directing calls to the appropriate departments, and coordinating communications across the facility. The operator must handle multiple calls simultaneously, especially during emergency situations, and ensure urgent messages reach the correct personnel. This efficiency directly impacts patient care and overall hospital operations.

Key Responsibilities

Answer calls promptly and professionally.

Transfer calls to the appropriate departments.

Demonstrate friendliness when greeting all customers.

Provide helpful assistance by anticipating and responding to customer needs.

Operate communication equipment and technology to manage calls efficiently.

Maintain effective communication skills and present a courteous demeanor at all times.

Identify and communicate issues and concerns constructively, and participate in generating improvement ideas.

Maintain logs of codes and alarms for tracking and reference.

Operate paging system to disseminate important messages throughout the hospital.

Qualifications Education High School Diploma or equivalent (Required).

Experience 1 year of healthcare experience (Preferred).

Physical Requirements The role involves prolonged periods of sitting, extensive computer usage, and the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
