Bilingual Education Champion – Tutor (In‑Person)
Make a difference in the lives of students by providing bilingual support in ELA and Math Regents test preparation. This role requires in‑person tutoring for grades 9‑12, three days a week, with flexibility for 10‑35 hours.
Key Details
Locations and Languages
– In‑person tutors fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish, Arabic or Ukrainian.
Pay
– $27–$30 per hour with up to 10% bonus for program completion.
Schedule
– 10–35 hours per week, three days per week.
Training and Growth
– Ongoing professional development and classroom experience.
Responsibilities
Deliver one‑on‑one and small‑group instruction in Math, Reading, Writing and Regents exam prep.
Help reinforce core concepts, improve academic confidence, and strengthen literacy and problem‑solving skills.
Collaborate with teachers and school leaders to develop personalized learning strategies.
Bridge language gaps, ensuring every student receives support in both English and the second language.
Qualifications
Passion for learning and commitment to underserved bilingual students.
Bilingual proficiency: fluent in English and a second language (Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish, Arabic, or Ukrainian).
Degree‑seeking student or graduate with a minimum 3.0 GPA in Education or a relevant field.
Available to work 10–35 hours per week and participate in monthly training.
Collaborative spirit and readiness to work with teachers, leaders, and fellow tutors.
