Position Overview As a Seamstress you will be responsible for face fabric and lining for drapery panels and ensures that patterns and stripes match up when joining seam.

What you’ll do

Moves fabric from racks to machine tables

Moves table to starting position

Ensures that properly racked fabric is joined evenly without puckers or crooked seams

Checks production tickets to insure proper goods are being joined

Checks production tickets for special instructions that may affect joining operation

Informs supervisor of any problems that develop relative to the joining operation

Ensures that pattern and stripes match up when joining seams together

If racker is not available, place joined fabric on rack

Perform other duties as assigned

Who you are

High school graduate

Sewing experience; experience with industrial sewing machines

Ability to use and read a tape measure

General knowledge of fabrics

Ability to use hand tools

Successfully pass color blind test

Accuracy with names, numbers and spelling

Capable of standing for extended periods of time

Capable of lifting on a continuous basis

Strong attention to details

Follow written and verbal instructions
