Job Overview A Field Merchandiser will work independently to showcase strong organization and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark. Occasionally you may work with other products from different companies in the serviced stores.
Salary and Schedule Details
Your starting pay will be $15.00–$17.00 depending on your skills and experience.
Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
Average weekly hours are 10–12 hours.
Availability the week before and after major holidays, including weekends, is required.
Your Role and Responsibilities will Include
Day‑to‑day engagement: Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, you will restock, organize, and monitor the inventory of Hallmark products in various retail store departments. Technology is critical for daily tasks, communication with your supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing required merchandising surveys. Professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is essential.
Holiday support: Leading up to major holidays such as Valentine's Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you may have additional days and extended hours, sometimes including work on the holiday itself.
Department resets: You may be part of a team responsible for installing and relocating Hallmark fixtures, resetting card sections, and other remodel tasks, typically notified two weeks in advance.
Team collaboration: As part of Hallmark’s field organization, you support other merchandisers in their territories when needed.
Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and a sense of urgency. You must be able to push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds consistently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Working on the sales floor and back stockrooms, you’ll kneel, squat, walk, stand, climb stairs, and use steps and ladders.
Basic Qualifications
At least 18 years of age.
Ability to read, write, and understand English.
Physical capability to lift up to 30 pounds regularly and 50 pounds occasionally.
Proficiency using a digital handheld device to read documents and interpret information.
Reliable Wi‑Fi network and internet access.
Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores.
