Position Summary Responsible for providing exemplary guest service in any of our restaurants by performing tasks including greeting & seating guests, packaging to‑go orders.
Essential Functions
Greets guests and seats them at tables suitable to their needs as necessary.
Takes, prepares, and packages food orders as necessary.
Inspects dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup.
Speaks with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service.
Performs general upkeep to designated areas. Stock merchandise and supplies as needed.
Assists other floor personnel on an as needed basis.
Performs all duties in accordance with Chinook Winds Casino Resort guest service standards.
Maintains general knowledge and provides information to guests of Chinook Winds Casino Resort events, programs, and services.
Provides input or recommendations for improvements and changes in processes or services.
Requirements
Must be 16 or older.
Accurate and thorough work performance.
Effective verbal communication.
Customer oriented: Ability to take care of guests’ needs while following company procedures.
Interpersonal: Ability to get along well with a variety of personalities and individuals.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
One year of experience as host/hostess preferred.
Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems preferred.
Must obtain a Siletz Tribal Gaming License.
Must obtain a Food Handlers Permit within 30 days of start date.
Must obtain VIP (Visually Intoxicated Person) Permit within 45 days of the start date.
Knowledge of regulations governing food preparation and service.
Basic math skills.
Physical Demands
Stand constantly.
Walk constantly.
Handling/Fingering constantly.
Reach outward constantly.
Reach above shoulder occasionally.
Climb not applicable.

Squat or kneel occasionally.
Bend frequently.

Work Environment Work will take place in a busy gaming environment with multiple distractions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The environment is subject to smoke and the associated effects.
Working Conditions Conditions of employment include passing a pre‑employment drug screen, a background investigation, and completing a 180‑day introductory period.
