Overview Organize, train, and direct Grocery Clerks to deliver prompt courteous service, maximize sales, and uphold Kroger’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
Responsibilities
Organize work, train, and schedule associates to consistently provide prompt courteous service.
Respond to customer or associate comments, complaints, requests, and questions with professionalism.
Use Computer Assisted Ordering to manage ordering quantities, ensure proper accounting of products received, and maintain balance on hand.
Lead pricing, displaying, and merchandising of merchandise; maintain proper signage, product rotation, freshness, quality, and space allocation.
Engage and counsel associates in effective merchandising techniques, customer service, product presentation, and promotional activities.
Implement company programs, policies, and procedures; maintain a harassment‑free work environment.
Provide input on department budgets, goals, and results to maximize department and store sales and profits.
Communicate with associates and customers to provide a positive impression.
Maintain equipment, facilities, cleaning areas, and temperature logs accurately and safely.
Assist with special projects such as periodic inventories, store resets, remodels, and merchandising promotions.
Supervise, coach direct reports; complete performance reviews and provide feedback.
Qualifications Minimum
Available to work weekends and holidays.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrate aptitude to manage people and organize workloads.
Make intelligent decisions quickly.
Multi‑task, set priorities, present information professionally, and work with all levels of the organization.
Personal initiative and follow through to completion.
