Summer Camp Teacher for STEM / Technology Camps
Join Black Rocket Productions to inspire kids in technology and creativity. This seasonal role is available for 4–10 weeks starting in June, with training paid.
Responsibilities
Teach in‑room technology and STEM courses to children aged 6–11 (or 8–14), including subjects such as coding (Python, JavaScript, Lua), video games, digital arts, robotics, drones, Minecraft, 3D modelling, and animation.
Lead up to 12 students solo or up to 25 with an assistant.
Manage and safely transfer equipment between sites.
Participate in an online training portal beginning in May.
Work a minimum of 4 weeks, Monday through Friday.
General Requirements
Located within driving distance of one of our partner regions with reliable transportation.
Experience with children in an educational setting is preferred but not required.
Strong technology skills such as 3‑D modelling, game creation, animation, robotics, video editing, and knowledge of Minecraft or Roblox.
Authorized to work in the United States.
Must be 21 years or older.
Lead Instructor Requirements
College degree in education, digital arts, computer science, information technology, or related field, OR significant relevant work experience.
Graduating college seniors with student‑teaching experience encouraged.
Experience teaching kids in formal or informal settings (classroom, volunteering, tutoring, coaching).
Ability to manage a class with or without an assistant.
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly rate: $20–26, depending on experience, location, and availability.
Paid training.
