Position Overview : As a Box Truck Driver, you will be a vital part of our team, responsible for transporting medical specimens and supplies from one location to another. Your role is crucial in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of specimens, medical supplies, and documentation.

Work Schedule : 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Mon‑Fri

Hourly Rate : $21.00

Responsibilities

Operates a box truck to transport medical materials including specimens and sensitive medical supplies.

Loads and unloads medical items from vehicle and ensures specimens, medicines, equipment, or documents are properly maintained and safely secured.

Delivers the applicable items to the correct destinations in a timely manner based on routing specifications.

Operates pallet jack to move, stack, and unstack pallets from one location to another.

Interacts with customers and co‑workers in a courteous and professional manner.

Maintains accurate and legible delivery records and follows standard pickup and delivery procedures.

Communicates with dispatch and management when there are delays with deliveries or delivery status changes.

Inspects, cleans, and follows the proper vehicle maintenance procedures.

Skills & Qualifications

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Proven experience as a box truck driver or similar role.

Knowledge of safe driving practices and traffic laws.

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Must be HIPAA compliant at all times – training provided.

Ability to work under minimum supervision.

Demonstrates strong work ethic, integrity, and a high level of attention to details.

Physical Standards Employee must be able to walk, bend, reach, climb, and lift 50 pounds or more. The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential job functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with legally recognized disabilities to perform these essential functions.

Frequent driving and getting in and out of the vehicle.

Ability to operate a manual pallet jack.

Frequent walking, climbing, bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting 50 pounds or more.

Wearing appropriate attire and footwear that provides comfort and support while driving, bending, stooping, climbing, and lifting.

Must have hearing and specific vision abilities which include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The position is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions.
