Position
Restorative Aide – Kindred Hospital St. Louis South (Long‑Term Acute Care Hospital). Full‑time, Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
Overview Lifepoint Rehabilitation is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network. As a Restorative Aide you will support patients’ functional recovery after discharge from formal rehabilitation services and during their stay, helping them achieve independence and safety.
Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
Perform rehabilitation/restorative nursing interventions that assist patients in attaining maximum functional potential.
Report patient responses to interventions and condition to the supervising nurse, therapist(s), or assistant.
Participate in facility/unit quality management, survey preparation, and safety committee activities.
Collect quality review data and contribute to cost‑effective care delivery.
Assist in formalized discipline‑specific and interdisciplinary group activities and continuing education.
Communicate professionally with patients, families, and coworkers; maintain competency and professional image.
Contribute to client relations and marketing activities and to improved efficiency of unit clinical/administrative functions.
Qualifications Education:
High‑school diploma or GED.
Experience:
Six months experience as a Rehabilitation Technician or Restorative Nursing Aide in a hospital or long‑term care environment preferred.
Certifications:
Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) required.
Physical and Mental Demands
Physical tasks include standing, walking, sitting for extended periods, lifting up to 20 pounds, repetitive use of hands, arms, and computer.
