Job Characteristics Full time, hourly, non‑exempt. Shift: 2nd (Mon‑Fri, 3:00 pm–11:30 pm) or 3rd (Sun‑Thu, 11:00 pm–7:00 am); overtime may be required. Wage rate: $18.00 – $26.65 per hour (starting wage negotiable based on experience).
Position Summary As a Medical Value Stream Inspector/Packager, you will be responsible for the final inspection and packaging processes for the medical burr blanks produced for the medical device industry.
Essential Job Functions
Setup, operate, and troubleshoot various measuring equipment that verifies compliance of final medical product prior to preparing product for shipping.
Read and understand information on route cards and blueprints for each order processed.
Wash and dry product to prepare for final inspection.
Inspect finished product for visual defects by lot‑sampling of finished dimensions for final acceptance.
Perform buffing and deburring operations to attain product conformance.
Package and label various medical burr blanks.
Use various programs to perform basic data entry, inventory processes, and access files to retrieve required certifications that must accompany shipments.
Place packaged products in correct inventory locations.
Follow all company policies, ergonomic standards, and safety procedures.
Requirements Perform other duties as required. Regular and on‑time attendance is required. Be at work on time when scheduled and remain at work throughout the established work schedule.
Qualifications Required
High school education or an equivalent of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.
Ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical functions (fractions, decimals, metrics, conversions, basic geometry and trigonometry).
Mechanically inclined (preferred).
Basic computer skills and ability to operate in Windows and non‑Windows formats.
Ability to establish and maintain a professional and effective working relationship with co‑workers and other employees at all levels.
Effective written and oral communication skills to interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
Ability to carry out assigned tasks and projects to their completion with minimal supervision.
