Veterinary Receptionist
Greenland Veterinary Hospital, located in Greenland, New Hampshire, is an AAHA‑accredited, small animal general practice. We see dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and pocket pets and provide wellness appointments, sick appointments, surgeries, dentistry, radiology, ultrasounds, laser therapy, in‑house laboratory diagnostics, and more.
Position Overview We are seeking an experienced veterinary receptionist who values client relationships and wishes to make a difference. The role is fast‑paced and requires emotional support, compassion, and comfort with a busy environment.
Responsibilities
Maintain visual appeal of the reception area and greet clients and patients.
Answer calls, emails, and triage client concerns, directing them to the appropriate party.
Schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow.
Check‑in and check‑out clients and process payments.
Provide friendly emotional support in a discreet, compassionate manner during times of need.
Maintain ability to withstand unpleasant odors, noises, bites, scratches, animal waste, and potentially contagious diseases.
Qualifications
Minimum 1‑year veterinary or medical field experience.
Compassionate, calm, team player, multitasker, and strong communicator.
Highly organized with computer skills.
Excellent reading, comprehension, and legible writing skills.
Self‑starter who wishes to advance knowledge and skillset.
