Position Overview
Ryder is hiring a SOLO Class A CDL Truck Driver for our Spokane, WA location. This is an immediate opening. We are looking for a dedicated, safety‑focused driver to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines.
Detect, eliminate, or minimize safety hazards while driving and when handling freight.
Maintain accurate records and logs, including mileage, fuel, and maintenance.
Load, unload, or assist in the loading/unloading of freight as required by customers.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum 21 years of age.
Pass Ryder Drug Test.
Pass Ryder Background and Motor Vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
Pass DOT physical.
Pass Ryder road test.
Provide appropriate Class A CDL and endorsements.
Verifiable Class A tractor‑trailer experience: 9 months within the past 3 years, OR 2 years within the last 5 years, OR 5 years within the last 10 years.
Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
