About the Role:
The Overnight Route Driver is responsible for the prompt, secure, and efficient transportation of goods and packages between Boise and Moscow while operating a 26‑foot box truck. This position requires overnight stays and safe driving in winter weather conditions.
Responsibilities
Safely transport goods and packages to and from designated locations within specified time frames, including documents, parts, tires, and equipment.
Perform routine vehicle maintenance, cleaning, and immediately report any mechanical issues.
Efficiently load and unload goods, ensuring secure placement to prevent damage.
Interact professionally with customers during delivery, verify deliveries with signatures, and handle payments or paperwork as needed.
Plan and follow the most efficient delivery routes, taking traffic, distance, and delivery times into account.
Maintain accurate delivery records, including times, routes, and any encountered issues, in compliance with company policies and regulations.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols.
Address and resolve customer issues or concerns that arise during delivery.
Requirements
Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
Pass a DOT physical examination; physical fitness sufficient for loading and unloading (up to 100 lbs unassisted) and extended driving periods.
Excellent navigation skills using GPS devices or maps.
Strong customer service and communication skills to represent the company positively.
Effective time‑management skills to ensure timely deliveries and efficient route planning.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, including overnight shifts.
Ability to cross state lines if necessary.
Strong attention to detail.
