About this Location The
Renaissance Asheville
is a 278 room hotel located in the heart of downtown Asheville, with plenty of greenscapes and sweeping views of the Smoky Mountains. The Blue Ridge Mountains are the perfect backdrop to explore North Carolina's best kept secret. We welcome guests to discover the unexpected as they journey through our neighborhood.
Why do we need you To mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to patrons of bar, following standard recipes.
What you will do
Mix ingredients, such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
Serves wine and other draught or bottled beer.
Collects money for drinks served.
Orders and requisitions liquors and supplies.
Places bottled goods and glasses to make an attractive display.
May slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks.
May prepare appetizers, such as pickles, cheese, and cold meats.
Performs in compliance with established company policies and procedures.
Performs in compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Responsible for compliance with all state and local regulations pertaining to the public operation of the hotel’s bar area, including maximum safe occupancy, emergency exit accessibility, smoke-free area maintenance.
Responsible for knowing and recognizing in-state and out-of-state drivers licenses and state-issued identification cards.
Required to be always in uniform when working on the property, including wearing a name identification badge.
Supports and adheres to the core values, the mission statement, service fundamentals, and guest service philosophy as defined by the company.
Skills and abilities you bring
Use arithmetic to total costs and make change.
Provide guests with information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
Stand or walk for varying lengths of time, sometimes for long periods.
Move fingers and hands easily and quickly to handle things like dishes, money, and merchandise.
Lift and carry things like heavy trays.
Current Food Worker’s and Liquor Server’s Permit (if applicable)
Bartending experience preferred.
Demonstrate excellent public contact skills.
Schedule & Hours This is a
full time
position, working up to 40 hours per week.
Physical Demands Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree, and or requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
