Job Summary

The Irrigation Technician will troubleshoot field issues such as valves not working, bad solenoids, cut wires, and bad modules. An Irrigation Technician can foresee potential problems and have the specialty skills needed to solve them. Careful planning and the ability to anticipate issues are qualities. Candidate must have experience in operating a locator, wiring and re‑wiring irrigation clocks and programming decoders. Core Values

None Duties/Responsibilities

Performs preventative maintenance on the irrigation system including the lake re‑circulation system and water features Determines wet and dry areas for adjustments of sprinkler heads Properly inventories and stocks all irrigation parts and tools to minimize down time Maintains working knowledge of pump station maintenance requirements Operates, maintains, and repairs a complex irrigation system, including leaks on the distribution lines, valve risers, electrical system, and computer and irrigation control wire Reports any serious irrigation breaks immediately to the Irrigation Crew Leader and or Account Manager Maintains a daily log of completed repairs Prioritizes irrigation breaks and uses time efficiently Incorporates safe work practices in job performance Regular and reliable attendance Performs other duties as required Qualifications

Must be able to perform job responsibilities that require physical endurance Must have experience with two wire and common wire systems Must be able to install and program irrigation clocks/controllers Minimum 1-year experience with irrigation or 2 or more years’ experience in the green industry Strong attention to detail Valid driver’s license Adhere to Company’s safety policy and ensure that the public and co‑workers will be safe while performing job duties Irrigation certification (preferred) Qualified candidates must be able to perform job responsibilities that require physical endurance and the ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions Education and Experience

High school graduate or equivalent desired Minimum of 2 years of experience in irrigation Effective oral and written communication skills Proficient in diagnosing, repairing, and installing two‑wire and multi‑strand systems Effective communication and time management skills Physical Requirements
