Group Class Instructor
to lead a single class per week (Wed 12:15 pm – 12:45 pm) at a client site in Springfield, Massachusetts. The role involves providing fun, effective, and safe group exercise instruction in a variety of styles such as dance, kickboxing, step, boot camp, and circuit, with the schedule and format changing month to month based on participant preference.
Responsibilities
Deliver engaging, safe, and effective group exercise instruction to participants.
Teach multiple fitness formats and adapt program monthly to meet participant interests.
Manage class logistics, including set up, timekeeping, and safety checks.
Maintain accurate electronic timecard and onboarding records.
Minimum Requirements
Current group‑exercise instructor certification from ACE, AFAA/NASM, ACSM, NETA, NCCPT, or another NCCA‑accredited specialty class certification.
Adult CPR/AED and First Aid certifications from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety & Health Institute, required prior to start date.
Minimum of 2+ years of group‑exercise instruction experience preferred.
Ability to navigate electronic onboarding and timecard systems.
Must meet all hiring requirements, including a pre‑employment drug test.
Compensation: $40–$50 per class, dependent on experience and qualifications.
