Job Summary MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is looking for an energetic, self‑motivated, and professional ADC Donation Attendant to join our Ellisville ADC - Clarkson Rd team! The ideal candidate will support our mission, "Changing Lives Through the Power of Work!", and embody our core values of diversity, integrity, passion, professionalism, respect, and responsibility.
Qualifications The ability to communicate effectively with co‑workers, customers, and management; to be organized and capable of interacting with a diverse work population; to possess necessary math, computer, and website navigation skills; and to have complex reasoning and decision‑making skills.
Responsibilities
Provides positive customer service interactions, including greetings, assisting donors with their donation drop off, and offering thanks and any donation incentive and tax receipt.
Handles all donations with care and respect.
Sorts donated goods into categories such as furniture, glass, jewelry, shoes, textiles, wares, books and media, cardboard, and trash.
Opens and closes the Attended Donation Site.
Accurately counts and reports donation counts.
Notifies management of hazardous, valuable, or inappropriate merchandise/materials being donated.
Utilizes safe work practices through awareness and observation and contributes to ensuring the workplace is hazard‑free by removing obstructions and keeping aisles and designated walkways debris‑free.
Maintains a professional appearance at all times, adhering to MERS/Goodwill's dress code.
Safeguards company property and personal information from harm, damage, or theft; reports theft, misappropriation, unethical/inappropriate behavior, or unauthorized possession of company property to a member of management, Human Resources, or Loss Prevention.
Meets all MERS/Goodwill policies, Goodwill Retail procedures, and safety and security regulations.
Creates requests for merchandise pickup to the transportation department.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
