Job Description

We are seeking a part‑time CIO Assistant to perform a wide range of communication, administrative, and support activities for the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of BYU-Pathway. The selected candidate will gain valuable insight and experience in both administrative experience as well as understanding how technology is developed and managed at a global institution. The position is hybrid with 1–2 days per week in the BYU-Pathway office in downtown Salt Lake City. Compensation is $25–$30 per hour, commensurate with experience. This part‑time temporary position typically works Monday–Friday between the hours of 8 am–5 pm, with the possibility of an extension.

Responsibilities
Work 20 hours per week during M‑F; some flexibility with hours
Provide CIO calendar support, including scheduling and coordinating meetings
Provide meeting management services, including agenda preparation, note‑taking, and follow‑up
Draft and edit reports, emails, and other communications
Manage operational budget for the IT team and prepare budget reports
Create presentations, diagrams, spreadsheets, and other documentation
Keep the CIO advised of time‑sensitive and priority issues, ensuring proper follow‑up
Coordinate on‑ and off‑site meetings and events
Conduct research and assist on various projects as assigned by the CIO
Prepare and submit expense reportsCoordinate travel arrangements
Organize team‑building activities
Maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
Act as a point of contact across departments and other CES institutions
Support the CIO and IT team with other duties as needed
Qualifications
Ability to daily prioritize new work with existing assignments and focus on accomplishing the most important work each day
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Detail‑oriented and highly organized
Proactive initiative taker who anticipates needs and has a bias for action
Team player who collaborates well with others
Completes work on time with minimal supervision
Carefully prioritizes competing tasks and responsibilities
Tech‑savvy, including high proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Flexible and adaptable to change
