Shift:
12‑hour rotating schedule.
Responsibilities
Perform general housekeeping to meet high pharmaceutical operation standards.
Prepare all solutions required for the process area and dispense cleaning/sanitization reagents.
Safeguard facilities, equipment, product, and co‑workers; assemble and disassemble production equipment.
Operate production equipment, such as filters, vessels, skids, and columns.
Operate forklift safely and efficiently.
Operate CIP circuits.
Monitor and control processes using the DCS.
Maintain real‑time documentation during production runs and keep accurate records/logs.
Perform integrity tests on sterile filters.
Additional Responsibilities
Buffer prep: prepare filter aid, install filters, set up transfer panels, assist in unloading bulk chemical tankers, initiate chemical loop circulation, and monitor solutions.
Zone 1: receive and stage II+III paste, calibrate tank pH probes, prepare equipment, and harvest filter cake.
Zone 2 (sterile processing): prepare and test sterile filters, sample sterile bulks, assist in preparing initial sterile bulks, and deliver bulks for sterilization.
Zone 2 (purification processing): assist in regenerating, testing, and packing columns; clean and test U/F systems; calibrate tank pH and conductivity probes; prepare and install filters; sample and test process solutions.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Basic math and computer skills.
Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Capability to work as part of a team and exercise good judgment.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED required.
Educational / Experience Requirements
High school education or GED.
Physical Requirements
Must lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk continuously during shifting periods.
Work rotating shifts; exposure to biological fluids, chemicals, electrical equipment, moving machinery, noise, dust, gas, fumes, steam, and extreme cold.
Occasional entry into confined spaces and work at heights on scaffolding or ladders.
Personal protective equipment includes eyewear, chemical suits, safety shoes, gloves, hearing protection, and a respirator.
Hearing acuity and color perception requirements as specified.
