We are seeking a skilled and reliable Semi Trailer Technician to work 100% on-site at one of our customers' facilities. This position is dedicated to support our customer by performing on-site maintenance, diagnostics, inspections, and repairs on a variety of commercial semi-trailers. The technician will primarily work outdoors in all weather conditions. We will provide appropriate weather and safety gear, and a mobile service truck.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and preventive maintenance on trailers, including brakes, lights, tires, electrical systems, and structural components.

Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and structural issues.

Conduct DOT and safety inspections in compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at the customer site.

Interact professionally with customer personnel and represent our company with strong communication and service skills.

Document all work performed, parts used, and time spent using company systems or customer-required processes.

Monitor equipment needs and ensure the mobile service truck is fully stocked and properly maintained.

Comply with all safety policies, including the use of provided PPE and adherence to customer-site safety requirements.

Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Prior experience as a trailer technician or diesel mechanic.

Strong knowledge of trailer systems, including electrical, braking, suspension, and structural components.

Ability to diagnose issues accurately and complete repairs independently.

Comfortable working in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.

Valid driver's license.

Ability to lift up to 65 lbs and perform physical work routinely throughout the day.

Schedule & Reporting

Full time position: schedule may follow the customer's operational hours.

Reports to Whiteford's Service Manager and designated on-site Supervisor at the customer's facility.
