Position Summary The Utton Transboundary Resources Center at the University of New Mexico School of Law seeks a half‑time Fiscal Services Tech to assist with maintaining fiscal controls, processing routine financial transactions, reconciling and analyzing financial data, and assisting with the development of budgets. The Utton Center is a research and public service project that promotes the wise management of natural resources in New Mexico and the West, with a particular focus on water law, policy, and management. This position reports to the Utton Center Director and serves to ensure that the budgets and fiscal management of the Utton Center complies with University policies.

Responsibilities

Reconciling accounts.

Labor distributions.

Budget and salary planning.

Managing purchase requisitions and orders.

Managing payroll.

Completing mid‑year projections.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organizational skills.

Experience in University of New Mexico systems and administrative processes.

Knowledge of Banner, Chrome River, LoboMart.

Interest in water management.

Bilingual – Spanish and English speaking and writing.

Conditions of Employment

Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.
