Responsibilities
Collect, prioritize, and execute work orders accurately and efficiently.
Plan, organize, and communicate goals, processes and completion time frame of projects when requested or appropriate.
Prioritize and execute directions from supervisor.
Coordinate paint activities effectively with affected internal departments.
Smooth surfaces and remove old paint from surfaces to prepare surfaces for painting.
Fill nail holes, cracks, and joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other filler.
Select premixed paints, or mix required portions of pigment, oil, and thinning and drying substances to prepare a paint that matches specified colors.
Remove fixtures such as pictures and electric switch covers from walls prior to painting.
Spread drop cloths over floors and room furnishings, and cover surfaces such as baseboards, door frames, and windows with masking tape and paper to protect surfaces during painting.
Paint surfaces with brushes, spray gun, or paint rollers.
Simulate wood grain, marble, brick, or tile effects.
Apply paint with cloth, brush, sponge, or fingers to create special effects.
Erect scaffolding or set up ladders to perform tasks above ground level.
Wash surfaces prior to painting with mildew remover.
