Joint Fires Observer Course (JFOC) Instructor
Location: Fort Sill, Oklahoma
Position: Full time position with benefits
Clearance: SECRET REQUIRED

Responsibilities
Provide resident and Mobile Training Team instruction to multi‑service students attending a two‑week functional Joint Fires Observer Course.
Conduct academic and simulator instruction; operate and maintain the Call for Fire Trainer simulators and Deployable Virtual Training Environment.
Provide input to Government training developers for the Joint Fires Observer Program of Instruction.
Maintain and update lesson plans.
Qualifications
All PTAC Instructors must be or have been a Joint Terminal Attack Controller (JTAC) or Forward Air Controller (Airborne) (FAC(A)).
Must have a minimum of three years verifiable JTAC/FAC(A) experience (post‑certification).
Personnel without the above qualifications must have completed an accredited JFO course of instruction and have 3 years verifiable FAC(A) experience.
Operational experience: minimum 3 years at an operational unit performing JTAC or FAC(A) duties (active time).
In lieu of 3 years verifiable JTAC/FAC(A) experience, 8 years of continuous active military service with at least 2 years of operational JTAC/FAC(A) experience can satisfy the requirement.
Additional Minimum Qualifications or Experience
Minimum 6 months experience operating the Call for Fire Trainer simulator or Deployable Virtual Training Environment simulator.
