City of Hillsboro
The City of Hillsboro is seeking an Assistant Chef that is passionate about great food, connecting with our stellar patrons, and fostering relationships. This role is more than dishing up fresh, made from scratch, delicious meals. We’re looking for an assistant chef who’s dedicated to their team and thrives on enriching our community members’ lives through fresh meals, with restaurant quality service!
Our Senior Center enjoys an outstanding reputation for serving plated meals that tantalize the taste buds. As the second in command, you will help prepare and execute dishes in a detail‑oriented, fast‑paced environment and provide direct support to the Head Chef to serve quality meals that make ordinary lunchtime meals extraordinary.
If this sounds like something you can get excited about, this may be the opportunity for you.
This full‑time position comes with the City of Hillsboro’s full benefits package and affords the opportunity to create a meaningful impact to our valued community members. Over the past couple of years, we’ve restructured our food cooking and serving process to continue to provide our essential service to the community. We look forward to bringing you onboard to help facilitate the great work done here.
The City of Hillsboro recognizes that some applicants, particularly women, people with disabilities, and people of color do not always apply for positions unless they directly meet all of the qualifications. We greatly encourage you to apply and welcome applicants from diverse and varied backgrounds. Transferable skills WILL be considered when reviewing applications for meeting minimum qualifications.
Hiring a workforce that reflects the diverse community we serve is essential to delivering exceptional City services and programs.
