Essential Functions
Set up the bar before opening, including preparing drink condiments, ensuring sufficient inventory, and organizing the area.
Serve beverages and take orders for drinks and appetizers in the Bistro and Nevins Pub.
Prepare appetizers as ordered and deliver them promptly to residents and guests.
Correctly charge residents and guests for beverages and appetizers.
Maintain a clean and organized bar area throughout service.
Complete end-of-shift tasks, such as breaking down the bar and cleaning the area.
Work cooperatively with coworkers and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
Report any complaints, unsafe conditions, or situations involving over-served patrons to supervisors promptly.
Follow all Presbyterian Homes Corporate Compliance policies, including those regarding confidentiality, security of information, and resident well-being.
Skills/Qualifications
Pleasant, courteous, and respectful demeanor toward residents, guests, and coworkers.
Reliable and punctual, with adherence to uniform requirements.
Enthusiastic about providing excellent service.
Professional and clean personal appearance.
Education and Training
Current college student or graduate preferred.
Preferred Experience
Prior bartending experience is a plus, but training will be provided.
