Position Overview This role involves the installation, modification, and repair of a wide range of plumbing systems in commercial environments. Per diem is provided for travel-related expenses.
Key Responsibilities
Install, modify, and repair utility, supply, and disposal systems
Work with systems including:
Sewage, water, gas, and oil lines
Compressed air, vacuum, and acid systems
Fixtures and equipment such as water closets, water heaters, hydrants, valves, and pumps
Read and interpret blueprints to lay out plumbing systems for underground rough-in and top-out phases
Install DWV (Drain, Waste, Vent), domestic water piping (hot and cold), and acid waste systems
Install natural gas and medical gas systems (vacuum, O₂, medical air, nitrogen)
Set plumbing fixtures for commercial buildings and healthcare facilities
Perform soldering, brazing, threading of steel pipe, and use of Pro Press
Conduct pressure testing and leak detection procedures
Cut openings in structures using hand and power tools
Install underground storm, sanitary, and water piping systems
Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of experience in commercial plumbing
Completion of a recognized plumbing apprenticeship program
Valid state plumbing license or eligibility to sit for the Texas exam
Prior experience in HVAC/mechanical systems in a commercial setting
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and plumbing codes
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
