IEP Case Manager / Special Education Teacher – Auburn
Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified, dedicated IEP Case Manager/Special Education Teacher to support children ages 3‑5 with disabilities at CDS Little Explorers Preschool in Auburn. The role involves classroom teaching and case management to prepare children for Kindergarten and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
Teach preschool children in a classroom setting.
Manage the IEP process for each child, including writing annual and amended IEPs and preparing Written Notices for IEP meetings.
Collect and analyze data for each child.
Provide support and supervision to educational technology specialists as needed.
Collaborate with the IEP team and maintain compliance with IDEA 2004 and Maine's Unified Special Education Regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
282B certification (Teacher of Children with Disabilities – PRE‑KIND) required.
Successful background, criminal records, and reference checks.
Working knowledge of child development, disabilities, family systems, and special education methods.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, parents, and team members.
