Class A Delivery/Shuttle Driver – Iowa City, IA
Join UNFI as a CDL Class A Delivery/Shuttle Driver. As a Delivery Driver, you will perform pre/post trip inspection, deliver and unload products, review paperwork, enter trip data, and complete logs.
Responsibilities
Pre/post trip vehicle inspection and safe loading procedures.
Deliver, unload, and verify product shipments; correct addresses and documentation.
Enter trip data into on-board computer; complete paper logs as required.
2-3 routes per week out of Iowa City with 1-2 layovers; trailers equipped with power jacks, dock, lift gate entries.
Paid hotel stays and meal per diems.
Comply with FMCSA regulations; operate vehicle safely within UNFI guidelines minimizing accidents, traffic violations, and public complaints.
Report accidents immediately to Transportation Manager/Department.
Pick up supplies and back hauls from vendors; complete related paperwork.
Address and resolve customer problems professionally.
Ensure customer orders arrive quality condition and correspond to initial order.
Job Requirements
Valid medical card and state specific Commercial Driver’s License (Class A). Must pass written exam and road test.
Basic knowledge of DOT law and UNFI safety standards.
At least 21 years of age.
Minimum 1 year of tractor trailer experience.
Compensation UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position. Actual pay will depend on education, experience, training and applicable agreements. Pay transparency in compliance with state and local laws.
