Our Client is seeking a Special Education Transportation Aide to provide service in the Anne Arundel County area.

AVAIALBLE HOURS Monday - Friday (split schedule)

SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY

Assists special needs students boarding and exiting school buses (occasionally lifting when necessary)

Assign students to seats and adjust safety traps

Observe students during transportation and react promptly to behavioral needs

Assist students during medical emergencies

Attend in-service training and workshops as established

Perform other duties as assigned.

CLIENT'S REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Minimum of a High School Diploma or its equivalent

Some knowledge of and/or experience supporting special needs students (preferred)

Ability to exercise considerable patience and physically, emotionally, and mentally assist disabled students during their transportation to and from school

Ability to work cooperatively with students and parents

Ability to complete and satisfactorily pass background check

Ability to present current CPR/First Aid, Physical, and TB/Skin Test
