MISSION:
To inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for implementing and enforcing the policies and procedures of the Club’s front desk and for data entry. The role maintains a clean, positive, fun, safe, and friendly environment for parents, families, donors, and visitors, upholding Club values of teamwork, impact-driven excellence, and good character.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow and implement all front desk policies and procedures.
Communicate with supervisor, parents, youth, donors, or visitors who are upset or need follow‑up.
Keep the front desk space up‑to‑date, organized, fun, safe, and welcoming.
Greet and direct visitors and telephone callers with a friendly attitude, relaying information on programs as appropriate.
Verify that individuals picking up youth are on the authorized pick‑up list and prevent unauthorized pick‑ups.
Distribute documentation and reports to parents/guardians.
Record monies received in the receipt book and ensure daily receipts match cash totals.
Track member program participation for each space within the Club.
Enter and update membership data in the Club’s member software system and paper files.
Send birthday cards, make recognition calls, and find ways to recognize youth at the front desk.
Call youth by name and greet with a “hello” and “goodbye”.
Accurately record all facility attendance and ensure all members are scanned in daily.
Teach manners, life skills, and provide opportunities for youth entering the Club and at the front desk.
Perform clerical functions assigned by supervisor (e.g., prepare membership cards, check voicemail, file, type, scan reports, assist with bulk mailings, printing, labeling, mailing birthday postcards).
Attend all monthly staff meetings, bi‑weekly one‑on‑one meetings, and bi‑weekly team meetings.
Assist supervisor in creating performance plan goals and accomplishing them by each trimester.
Provide feedback to supervisor on daily operations and suggest process improvements at the front desk.
Other duties as assigned.
EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent.
High level of organizational skills.
Friendly, personable, and able to communicate well in person and over the phone.
Ability to multi‑task and work in a fast‑paced environment.
Availability: 3 pm–7 pm (school year) and 7:15 am–6:15 pm (summer); Monday‑Friday and club special events as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must have the mental and physical capacity to observe, interact, and communicate with youth, staff, volunteers, parents, etc., ensuring safety and providing guidance and reflection per Club outcomes.
Ability to stand or sit for long periods throughout a shift.
Ability to operate various general office equipment (PC, telephone, copier, etc.).
This position is considered safety‑sensitive.
