Summary Servtech, A Roeslein Company, is seeking a Field Operational Services Technician I for preventative maintenance, equipment repair, and industrial products service. Servtech is looking for an individual who has the desire to perform quality work in a safe manner, who is detail-oriented, and who has superior customer focus. This individual must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Roles And Responsibilities

Must be a leader who represents the organization with the ability to be a liaison to our customers, adhere to company standards, and resolve issues with urgency and professionalism.

Performs all work in compliance with company standards, does not deviate from policies and procedures, and adheres to regulatory requirements.

Safety is essential at Servtech and all safety training classes must be completed with a 100% pass rate.

Requires effective time management skills, personal conduct, and change management abilities.

High energy, ambitious, and results-oriented; commitment to a culture of performance and excellence is required.

Ability to effectively interact with co-workers, clients, vendors, and other business contacts.

Must meet deadlines while working safely to ensure a quality product.

Under direct supervision, must have the ability to learn to tear down and repair failed electrical equipment including valve actuators, Variable Frequency Drives, circuit breaker replacement, MCC bucket replacement, PLC and HMI repair/replacement, and fuse replacement.

Assist in the operational testing of PLC, HMI, VFD, actuators, solenoids, and other electrical instruments.

Identify and adjust motors for correct rotation.

Must examine flanged connections for correct torque.

Troubleshoot, identify and change out pumps, motors, and valves as needed.

Ability to learn to read mechanical and electrical drawings.

Capable of performing work with a truck-mounted crane.

Must be able to perform preventative maintenance on air compressor stations which includes changing filters, changing oil, and replacing motors, bearings, belts, and fans.

Safely drive to customer's sites and perform the required work with accuracy and timeliness.

Service tickets must be reviewed for accuracy and submitted in a timely manner.

All employees who support partner companies must follow their safety and conduct policies, including on-call obligations.

This position is an on-call position.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge / Skills / Education / Experience

A high school diploma or G.E.D. is preferred but not required.

Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record and 21 years of age to drive a Company Truck.

1-2 years of electrical experience is preferred.

Mechanical experience is preferred but not required.

Ability to use Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel.

Experience with hand-held tools and assembling parts.

Experience with multimeters.

Must possess the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel, both hourly and management, in a team environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is performed in an uncontrolled atmosphere. Exposure to harsh conditions—such as dust, fumes, chemicals, hazardous materials, noise, and varying weather and temperatures—for short periods is possible. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk and hear. Must be comfortable on a ladder. Comfortable exposure to moving parts and electricity that require safety protocols. Must be willing to travel in varied conditions either driving or flying. The ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly is required.
