Senior Renewable Energy Technician Full‑time

Monitoring, Control and Compliance, Inc. (MCC) is a privately owned small business providing services to the solid waste industry. Founded by a former landfill gas technician in 2005 with two employees; and has since grown to approximately 65 employees utilizing a controlled growth strategy.

Our focus is the operation and maintenance of landfill gas systems that are installed to reduce the emissions of Methane impacting our environment and provide for a “Green” energy source for our client’s end‑users.

Core Functions

Supervise multiple sites and technicians.

Perform all functions related to operations of landfill gas collection and control system including monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Train other technicians on all functions of operation of landfill gas collection and control system.

Be the primary communications with site management in order to set priorities for the team and project success. Acting as a Liaison between site management and project managers/supervisors.

Make sure projects are completed on time and on budget.

Identify issues that require resolution; develop solutions and provide that solution to project team.

Track Compliance and identify compliance exceedances then coordinate follow up monitoring requirements within regulatory guidelines.

Conduct system inspections and coordinate with construction crew and operations personnel continuously.

Organize all safety components.

Document all activities.

Provide detailed reporting of project activities.

Always maintain a professional demeanor.

Requirements General Qualifications & Experience

5 years Landfill Gas experience

Supervisory experience

Organized - in order to complete all tasks in a timely manner and document accordingly.

Able to think on your feet.

Possess technical expertise in order to maintain a high level of operation of landfill gas and control system, including high level problem solving with minimal management input.

Possess technical expertise to provide instruction and guidance to less experienced individuals.

Patience to deal with unknown circumstances and resolution of any issues associated with the operation of a landfill gas collection and control system.

Detailed follow up with client and supervisory personnel on critical items and issues associated with operation of a landfill gas collection and control system.

Maintain a high level of performance as an example to others.

Positive Attitude – To help mentor others and provide guidance as necessary.

Microsoft office suite fluent.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Landfill Gas data review for compliance and proper adjustments.

Preferred Qualifications Include

Google mapping

Adobe Pro

Current OSHA 40 Hr. HAZWOPER.

pipe fusion certificate

Knowledge of basic math, gas chemistry, piping and instrumentation drawings.

Electrical, Chemical and Mechanical experience.

Physical Requirements

Able to think on your feet while pushing your physical limits.

100% outside work in all weather conditions.

Ability to walk long distances on all terrain

Occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl

Ability to work outdoors year‑round in rugged terrain.

Able to lift 50 lbs.

The use of personal protective equipment (safety boots, safety glasses, safety vest and personal gas monitoring equipment) is required for daily activities.

Able to travel overnight up to 30%
