Truck Driver – Sprague Operating Resources LLC
We are looking for a dedicated Truck Driver to join the Lawrence Operations team delivering petroleum products in the tri‑state area (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut). The position requires heavy commercial vehicle operation and strict safety compliance.
Your responsibilities will include:
Deliver petroleum products from location to location via heavy commercial vehicle.
Load petroleum products onto the vehicle, which involves climbing ladders, walking on top of the vehicle, and moving oil chutes.
Determine safe tank fill level by converting measurements and using tank charts to compute gallons.
Unload petroleum products at customer locations, which may require climbing ladders, walking on top of vehicle, and carrying/pulling a hose.
Reconcile truck shipping and loading documents, including DOT documents (timesheets, pre‑trip inspection sheets, computing gallons loaded and unloaded, and balances on the unit).
Perform pre‑trip/post‑trip inspections on truck/tractor and trailer before operation.
Maintain the vehicle daily to keep it in proper and safe working order.
Qualified candidates will have:
Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements.
Ability to pass a DOT physical exam.
5 years of experience driving and delivering petroleum products.
Valid TWIC Card.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Basic mathematics skills (addition and subtraction).
Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
Flexibility to work in a 24/7, 365 day/year operation, including day and night shifts.
