Environmental Services Technician – Dallas Regional Medical Center
Overview We are seeking an Environmental Services Technician (EVS Tech or Hospital Housekeeper) to maintain a safe and healthy environment by cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, operating rooms, and common areas. The EVS Tech will handle waste disposal, restock supplies, maintain floors and surfaces, and respond to urgent cleaning needs.
Schedule Shift: Evenings Hours: 8‑hour shift, 3:00 pm–11:30 pm Employment type: Full‑time Location: Dallas Regional Medical Center – Mesquite, TX

Responsibilities
Clean and disinfect patient rooms, operating rooms, and common areas to prevent the spread of infections
Properly dispose of medical and hazardous waste according to hospital protocols
Restock supplies such as gloves, masks, and cleaning materials in various areas
Clean and maintain floors, restrooms, and surfaces using specialized equipment and chemicals
Respond to urgent cleaning needs such as spills or contamination incidents, and communicate promptly via phone, handheld radios, pagers, etc.
Maintain a high level of cleanliness within the hospital and adjacent buildings, traveling between facilities independently as needed
Qualifications
One (1) year of experience in acute‑care hospital environmental service techniques, practices, or procedures (preferred)
High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Ability to read, understand, and communicate effectively
