Treatment Plant Operator II

Grade C License – $2,500
Grade B License – $3,500
Grade A License – $5,000
Hourly wage:
$24.07 - $26.05
(based on experience and qualifications). Certification pay is available for licenses higher than required.

Essential Functions
Perform daily plant checks of mechanical, chemical, and electrical equipment.
Run daily process control sample testing on‑site according to plant permit requirements; check lab results and make corrections.
Turn on, monitor, and adjust equipment throughout the day to maintain solids removal per process procedures.
Perform plant maintenance and repair any equipment that requires replacement.
Read operator’s process control reports, logbooks and lab sampling results.
Troubleshoot and fix problems at the wastewater facility.
Participate in plant inspections by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
Requirements
High school graduation or GED equivalent plus specialized courses/training equivalent to one year of college chemistry, biology, or a closely related field.
Four (4) years of wastewater operations or closely related experience.
Wastewater Treatment Operator Class C License.
