What will you do?
Prepares food to specifications before and during unit operations
Followsall production prep sheets assigned for the day.
Properlymeasuresportions andprepares all food items.Complies withallportionsizes, quality standards, department rules, policies, and procedures
Retrieves from storage areas all items necessary for preparation.
Maintains food,utensilsand equipment in a clean and orderly manner
Able to read and write in English to properly label, date and wraps food product, adhering toServSafeprocedures
Performs opening, closing and side work duties as instructed andaccording toproper guidelines
Follows and upholds all health codes and sanitation regulations
Follows all safety,securityand kitchen procedures
Communicates with chef for any special instructions/training
Performs other duties as assigned
More about you
Priorfood preparationminimum 1 year,experiencein ahigh-volumeenvironmentrequired.
Understanding of basic Food safety standards (Temperature danger zone, Food storage hierarchy, proper hand washing)
Ability to read andcomprehendprep sheetsinEnglish.
Ability to use kitchen tools safely (knives and small equipment ware)
Ability to follow instructions
No high school diploma or GEDrequired
Physical requirements
Frequent standing and/or walking for the entire length of the shift
Manual dexterity is sufficient to chop, mix, blend, whip, etc. a variety of foods and liquids
Ability to move rapidly and coordinate multiple orders
Ability tolift upto 50 pounds
Exposed to variable temperatures
May berequiredto work in a confined space
Hazards include, but are not limited to cuts from broken glass, metal cans, slipping, and tripping
Frequently immerses hands in water
Shift details Days Evenings Holidays Evenings as needed Weekends Every weekend 8hr shift OT as needed Weekdays as needed monday
