Position Overview As a Journeyman Plumber, you will independently perform installations, repairs, and maintenance on a wide range of plumbing and gas systems. You’ll work both on service calls and contract projects, ensuring all work meets company standards, local codes, and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain piping, fixtures, water heaters, boilers, gas lines, and related plumbing systems.
Diagnose plumbing issues and recommend effective solutions.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for contract jobs.
Ensure all work complies with local plumbing codes and company SOPs.
Communicate clearly with customers, office staff, and supervisors.
Complete accurate job documentation and reports using Field Pulse or similar software.
Maintain a clean, organized work area and company vehicle.
Train and mentor apprentices or less experienced team members as needed.
Respond to emergency calls and participate in the on-call rotation as required.
Attend required trainings and safety meetings.
Qualifications
Valid Maryland Journeyman Plumber license (or ability to obtain).
Minimum 2–3 years’ experience as a plumber, including service and/or contract work.
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Able to pass background check and drug screening.
Comfortable with mobile apps for scheduling and reporting.
