CMM/Dimensional Technician at Consolidated Metco
ConMet's Canton, NC plastics manufacturing facility is seeking an experienced CMM Technician to support quality operations in a fast‑paced injection molding environment. This role is responsible for performing dimensional inspections using CMM equipment and software such as PC‑DMIS and PolyWorks, analyzing measurement data, and communicating results to engineering and manufacturing teams. The position is also responsible for conducting MSA’s and gauge calibration.
What you will do:
Perform dimensional inspections to CAD data using PC‑DMIS/Polyworks
Analyze and report findings from dimensional software and communicate results to engineering
Conduct gage R&R’s and MSA’s
Calibrate and verify gages under company procedure specifications
Utilize Gage Trak software to maintain records of gages and calibrations
Maintain prompt and regular attendance as scheduled
Work safely and without injury through adherence to all safety rules and guidelines
Other duties may be assigned.
What you need to be successful:
Minimum of 2 years of dimensional inspection experience and/or community college coursework; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Successfully completed an approved GD&T training; e.g., Hexagon, ASME, Mitutoyo.
Experience using measurement equipment with custom set‑ups to inspect parts.
