Girl Scouts – North Carolina Coastal Pines seeks dynamic and enthusiastic individuals to be part of our 2026 Summer Camp Team supporting our overnight camp programs across all Council properties: Camp Mary Atkinson, Camp Graham, Camp Hardee, and Camp Mu-Sha-Ni.

We are seeking a

Kitchen Supervisor

to support our overnight camp program at Camp Mary Atkinson. This position may also support smaller program groups operating at Camp Graham, Camp Hardee, and Camp Mu-Sha-Ni throughout the summer. Transportation will be provided from Camp Mary Atkinson to the other camp properties as needed.

Duration:

Summer 2026 (mid-May through the end of July)

Compensation:

Weekly salary of $775.00, including housing (optional) and meals after training.

$500 bonus

Here’s How It Works

$250 Mid-Summer Bonus: Camp staff hired for the summer who remain employed through the end of June will receive a $250 bonus.

$250 Completion Bonus: Camp staff who remain employed through the end of summer camp will receive a $250 bonus.

Day In The Life

Food Service Management: Oversees the overall food service operation of the camp including purchasing, preparation, nutrition, service, sanitation, security, personnel management, customer service, and record-keeping

Nutrition: Ensure campers receive delicious and nutritious meals.

Sanitation and Security: Maintain the highest standards of food safety and kitchen security.

Personnel Management: Lead and manage kitchen staff, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.

Customer Service: Delight campers with top-notch service and unforgettable dining experiences.

Record-Keeping: Maintain meticulous records to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the US. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment Visas at this time.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Minimum of two years’ experience in institutional or food service setting or two years experience as camp or food supervisor or equivalent.

SERVSafe Certification

Knowledge of and experience in food service: ordering, inventory, budgeting, food preparation, family-style serving, buffet serving, cleaning, and institutional kitchen equipment.

Ability to work within a budget and purchase supplies efficiently.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Knowledge of current health and safety laws and practices is essential.

Knowledge of and experience in the preparation of special dietary foods.

Commitment to the aims and purpose of the Girl Scout movement.

Physical Aspects of the Job

Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.

Visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards of the site and facilities and camper and staff behavior.

Ability to safely and properly use kitchen equipment.

Ability to provide first aid and to assist campers and staff in an emergency.

Housing is available for this position for the summer camp season.
