Senior Construction Materials Field Technician

Responsibilities
ECS Limited offers a unique opportunity for a talented and certified Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Senior Field Technician to join our Fort Myers, FL team. This role collaborates with project management professionals in the Field Services department to safely perform various tasks.
Field Activities : Perform observation, testing, sampling, and inspection of materials including soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel on construction sites.
Testing Procedures : Conduct routine field tests for soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel using various methodologies in accordance with industry standards.
Data Collection : Perform calculations and data reduction, draft reports, and maintain documentation.
Communication : Maintain daily communication with site contractors, technicians, and project managers, and attend project meetings when requested.
Training and Development : Receive training and document findings with precision.
Career Development
Support in enhancing professional skills.
Encourage participation in internal and external training and certification opportunities (e.g., ACI, ASNT, AWS, ICC, NICET, NRCA, RCI, State DOTs, WACEL).
Qualifications
3+ years of related experience.
High School diploma or GED.
Current basic level certifications and willing to maintain 3 advanced certifications.
OSHA 10 may be required.
Ability to carry 40–70 lbs multiple times a day; occasionally lift 85 lbs to waist height.
Valid driver's license and insurance.
Suitable transportation for job sites; mileage reimbursed.
Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, writing).
Excellent understanding of heavy construction safety, practices, and procedures.
Ability to work effectively with clients, peers, and supervisors.
Proficiency with electronic devices (phones, tablets, laptops).
Strong math skills (reading maps, following directions, interpreting engineering and construction plans).
Basic knowledge of MS Office.
