We are currently seeking a
part-time cook
to join our incredible culinary team at
On With Life . This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals recovering from brain injuries. Cooks play a key role in the healing process by preparing high-quality meals and creating comforting, joyful dining experiences for our persons served and their families.
This part-time position works 1-2 days per week, with typical hours of 11:00 am or 1:00 pm–7:00 pm. It also requires working rotating weekends (every other) and rotating holidays (holiday pay available). Occasional work may be scheduled at our Ankeny short‑term care facility.
Responsibilities
Prepare and serve high-quality, nutritious meals to persons served, families, guests, and staff.
Follow individual dietary restrictions or medical nutrition needs as prescribed.
Maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen and dining environment in compliance with facility, industry, and regulatory standards.
Benefits
Competitive pay & hiring bonus: $1,000 if scheduled less than 20 hours per week, $2,000 if 20 hours or more.

Experience with institutional, hospitality or healthcare meal preparation and kitchen operations.
