EEG Technician – Providence
Overview EEG Technician – AK PMG Peds Subspecialty. The Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist will perform neurodiagnostic studies under the direction of a neurologist, in accordance with the guidelines of the American Society of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists (ASET). This position also plays a lead role in training and educating current and/or incoming EEG students affiliated with Providence Health & Services Alaska, while working collaboratively with the program’s manager and medical director.
Responsibilities
Perform neurodiagnostic studies under direction of a neurologist.
Ensure compliance with ASET guidelines.
Lead training and education of EEG students.
Collaborate with program manager and medical director.
Required Qualifications
Graduate from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited neurodiagnostic program.
National certification from the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists upon hire.
Public liability (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
Three years of performing procedures in a patient‑care environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university.
