Test Technician II
– Pacific Scientific Energetic Materials Company (PacSci EMC) Department:
Test
Responsibilities The Technician conducts environmental testing, destructive and non‑destructive testing, and assists with dynamics testing in accordance with written procedures such as Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) or Qualification Test Procedures (QTPs). This position also requires the ability to interpret dimensional drawings and perform test setups.
Responsible for design verification and acceptance testing of pyrotechnic and electronic products.
Familiar with test equipment (i.e.: oscilloscopes, multimeters, environmental chambers).
Reviews system‑level Acceptance Test Procedures for a wide variety of pyrotechnic and electrical devices.
Troubleshooting, calibration, and adjustments to test equipment, components, and systems.
Loads and programs environmental chambers.
Loads and unloads test fixtures for dynamics testing (vibrations, shock, drop).
Correct malfunctions by adjusting or replacing parts or components.
Use small hand and power tools along with various measuring and testing devices.
Perform appropriate duties associated with specialized IT project‑based activities.
Participate in process improvement meetings and team 5S activities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications – External/Internal
3+ years’ experience as a Test Technician in an Aerospace and/or Defense environment, preferred.
Knowledge in the use of basic electronic test equipment (volt meters, current meters, O‑scopes).
Basic mechanical measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.) and hand tools.
Test experience involving vibration, shock, and/or pressure vs. time.
Working knowledge in interpreting dimensional drawings and test procedures.
Familiarity with MS Office products.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
AS in related field and/or military experience preferred.
Working Conditions
Test lab conditions (wearing PPE where required).
Standing 8–10 hours per day.
Capable of lifting 40 pounds.

The hourly salary range for this position (in local currency) is $20.87–$38.75.
