Duties and responsibilities
Assess student abilities and provide instructional and behavioral assistance in accordance with IEPs/504 plans. Support can be provided 1:1 or in small groups.
Commit to educating the whole student – academically, morally and socially.
Implement result‑driven curriculum and instruction specially designed to meet each student’s needs.
Attend professional development, specialized training and IEP meetings with the special education team and parents as required.
Assist with required compliance documentation.
Qualifications
Ability to defuse situations and prevent escalation.
Previous experience supporting individuals with disabilities and/or behavior modifications is preferred.
Aptitude to understand and navigate technical systems.
