Job Description
JOB OVERVIEW Under the supervision of the Laundry Manager, the Laundry Attendant is responsible for the efficient cleaning, sorting, and handling of all hotel linens, uniforms, and guest laundry. This role ensures that all laundry is processed according to hygiene and quality standards, supporting the overall housekeeping function by maintaining a steady supply of clean and well-maintained linens. The Laundry Attendant helps maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment while contributing to the comfort and satisfaction of hotel guests.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Collect, sort, and separate laundry items including linens, uniforms, and guest clothing according to type, color, and cleaning requirements
Operate washing machines, dryers, irons, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently
Inspect laundry items for stains, damage, and proper cleaning; report any issues to the supervisor
Fold, press, and organize clean laundry for distribution to various hotel departments
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, equipment, and storage rooms
Always follow established hygiene and safety standards to ensure a safe working environment
Track laundry supplies and notify management when stock needs replenishing
Deliver clean linens and uniforms to designated hotel departments promptly and accurately
Assist with inventory counts and record keeping of laundry supplies and equipment
Handle guest laundry requests with care and attention to detail, ensuring timely processing
Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the Laundry Manager
Adhere to hotel policies and procedures regarding laundry operations and guest privacy
Support other housekeeping tasks as assigned during peak times or as needed
Any other reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
We recognize we are in the hospitality industry and that may require us to provide lateral service. We will on occasion call for each individual in the team to on a routine basis perform various related tasks as needed in the spirit of providing exceptional guest services
